To fish a wreck its generally advised that you use a bigger, stronger reel that is more robust and can hold heavier line. You need a reel that has a decent spool capacity to make sure you can hold the heavier line so you can get down deeper.
Also, little Abu 6500 sized reels just arn't up to bringing up 50lb congers with 8oz of lead - you'll just strip the gears.
If your feeling a bit lazy maybe you should try this electric multiplier from Daiwa - saves your arm getting knackered and time wasted bring your bait up from deep... maybe not such a bad idea..?!
I've always been a fan of Diawa boat reels as they are tried and tested, the build quality is excellent and you know they should not let you down when the going gets tough.
